Charlene的「I’ve Never Been To Me」這首歌，我相信大家都聽過，甚至聽過很多人的翻唱，旋律也真的動人雋永，但是可能很少人會去注意到，它的歌詞寫些什麼
我也是以上的普普聽眾之一，小時候聽到就是單純覺得好好聽的歌，直到幾年前有人介紹這首歌，才發現到這首歌富有這麼多的人生哲理，聽起來更是增添許多韻味…
先不論它的歌詞論點是否對或錯，值不值得我們去效仿，但我欣賞這種寓教於樂的創作，把自己的個人觀點放入歌詞裡，談到自省、談到社會、談到更多更廣的範圍，它更是能展現自我的搖滾樂包容前進精神，而不太過於限縮在男女情愛面的糾纏。
